Do Fairwinds products contain THC?

While the majority of our products are made using a full-spectrum extraction process (meaning they will contain any/all cannabinoids present in a plant), no Fairwinds product will ever contain more than 0.3% total THC. If you are unable or choose not to consume any THC at all, check out our broad-spectrum ZERO or solution-specific tinctures!

Are Fairwinds products intoxicating? (Will they get me high?)

Whether you’re consuming the very low levels of THC present in our full-spectrum tinctures or a broad-spectrum formula with no THC whatsoever, all Fairwinds products are designed to be non-intoxicating and clear-minded.

Will I be able to pass a drug test if I use Fairwinds products?

None of our products can legally contain more than 0.3% THC (an amount too low to cause intoxication in most), and many of our products are completely THC-free. All Fairwinds products are third-party lab tested. Fairwinds is unable to guarantee drug test outcomes.

What are Ayurveda and TCM?

Ayurveda (the traditional medicine of India) and TCM (which stands for Traditional Chinese Medicine) are holistic herbal medicine practices, practiced and valued for thousands of years in human history. Fairwinds uses both philosophies during product formulation.

What is CBG?

CBG (which stands for Cannabigerol) is one of approximately 100 identified compounds produced by the hemp/cannabis plant. Please read our What is CBD? blog if you would like more information!

What is CBD?

CBD (which stands for Cannabidiol) is one of approximately 100 identified compounds produced by the Cannabaceae family of plants. Read our What is CBD? blog if you would like more information!

Why do Fairwinds products have TCM/Ayurveda descriptions as well as product descriptions?

At Fairwinds, we pride ourselves on being the place where ancient herbal medicine meets with modern technology and processes. You’ll find two separate descriptions on each product: one containing traditional holistic terms/language which speaks to the science and herbology behind each product formula, and another which provides a simple overview of the product including its ingredients and functions.

What is the Entourage Effect?

The term Entourage Effect refers to the fact that many herbal compounds (including cannabinoids like CBD) will perform better alongside other herbal compounds than alone.

What is the difference between Fairwinds CBD and Fairwinds Cannabis?

Fairwinds CBD products are hemp-derived, contain less than 0.3% total THC, and are available nationwide. Fairwinds Cannabis is our award-winning Washington State retail cannabis company; these products are accessible at licensed dispensaries to residents and visitors of Washington who are over 21 years of age. You can learn more about these products at www.fairwindscannabis.com. We find it important to note that if you are already familiar with Fairwinds Cannabis products from Washington, you may notice a slight difference in the effect of the products in our CBD line. As these products are all almost completely THC-free, there may be a slight variation in effect.

What extraction process does Fairwinds use?

Our hemp CBD oil is extracted from the plant using either CO2 or pure ethanol, dependent on what plant constituents we are hoping to derive. This method ensures we are able to get all of the minor cannabinoids (such as CBG, CBN, CBDA, CBDV, etc) while retaining all of the beneficial properties of the plant. All Fairwinds CBD products are third-party lab tested after extraction to ensure there is no residual solvent present in the finished product!

Where is Fairwinds’ hemp sourced?

We source our hemp from local Oregon farmers.

Are Fairwinds products safe to take with prescription medication?

While our products are formulated not to interfere with most common prescription medications, it is always best to discuss this with a medical professional such as your doctor.

Does Fairwinds conduct third-party tests on their products?

Absolutely! In addition to potency tests, each batch of oil used in our products is third-party lab tested for pesticides, residual solvents, molds, heavy metals, and mycotoxins. You can find test results for any specific product by visiting www.fairwindscbd.com/test-result-finder/

Can I purchase Fairwinds products in a store?

Absolutely! We work with select retail stores across the country. If you are a retailer and wish to carry Fairwinds CBD products at your store, send us an email at sales@fairwindscbd.com

Which Companion tincture is right for my pet?

Our Companion tincture formulas are based on the weight of your animal; the 320mg tincture is recommended for small to medium pets (weighing under 50lbs) and the 640mg tincture is recommended for larger pets (over 50lbs in weight). For more information on dosing, check out the “Suggested Use” tab on our product page! https://www.fairwinds.store/shop/companion/

How long are Fairwinds products shelf-stable?

While all products are required to have a best-before date of one year from when they were manufactured, many of our products are formulated using natural mold-killing ingredients (such as the terpene Limonene) and will remain stable for well over one year.
